I have had the pleasure of working with this awesome couple since November of 2011. We helped design and print all their wedding paper supplies, including save the date, invitation suite, programs, menus and couple other fun pieces along the way. They are off to get married in Saratoga, NY in a couple of weeks and I could not be happier for them. I was able to get my hands on this darling picture and just had to share… are they the cutest?

These pictures are amazing. I had never seen Jackie and JFK’s wedding pictures, so when I found these on Miss Moss I was floored. The wedding is so timeless, it could take place today. The majority of couples getting married today incorporate a first look into their pictures. The first looks are a special moment when it is just the bride and groom seeing each other for the first time. I absolutely love seeing pictures and the emotions behind them.

If you love first look pictures too, this next idea is meant for you!  Capture a first look picture with the bride and father of the bride. It is the day he gives his daughter away, so why not capture the moment he sees his daughter for the first time in her wedding dress. The first look between the bride and father of the bride can simply be in a hotel room or outside. But capturing the emotions between the two will be priceless.

New and Blue recently participated in Rocked, a bridal show hosted by Portland Bride and Groom at the Nines Hotel.  We recently got our hands on a few pictures and wanted to share the amazing set up! The room was designed and planned by Bridal Bliss with vendors including: West Coast Event Productions, Zest Floral, and One Divine Party.

Wedding cakes have been all over the blog world recently and I am not one bit mad about it. Not only do I love eating cake, but I love looking at cake even more! These cakes are truly pieces of art. The time, energy and skill that go into wedding cakes blow me away.  While these cakes are gorgeous on their own, don’t forget to decorate or personalize your cake with a cake topper. It has been all the rage lately, and well we totally understand why. Engagement and wedding pictures with a bundle of balloons are a fun and cheerful! If you and your hubby are trying to stick to a budget for your wedding, balloons are a inexpensive prop to use for your pictures. Whether you use them in your engagement session, wedding session or both, they are a great way to add color to your pictures. We are so thrilled about this next post. One of our very own talented girls got married this past winter and we can’t wait any longer to share these stunning photos with you. The wedding was nothing short of beautiful. The church was filled with fresh cut garlands, lining the aisle, tied up with big satin bows. The altar was filled with candlelit vintage country jars. The bride styled and designed every detail of the wedding; from the stationary to the cowboy boots it was simply amazing. Enjoy-

Choosing your wedding color scheme is a pivotal decision which can help set a guideline for your other wedding decisions- think invitations, flowers, etc.  The wedding color palette influences the theme and mood of your wedding; from dress to decorations, color is a key! When I was perusing the web the other day I came across this great site that can help in creating your perfect wedding color combination.  The Palette Generator by Big Huge Labs creates a custom color palette based on a photograph.  I loved this photo of Sienna, Italy by Albert Hofmann and pictured is the corresponding color palette.  I think there are some gorgeous combinations for spring!
