Sara Gabriel Veils and Headpieces

November 5th, 2009

Let’s face it, most women spend a lot of time on their hair each morning.  So it goes without saying, that on her wedding day, there will be a fair amount of time and money spent on getting it just right.  Today, there are so many choices with veils and headpieces, which can make the decision of what to do with your hair both exciting and overwhelming at the same time.  Expert bridal milliner, Sara Gabriel, draws her designs from a variety of factors: how the bride wears her hair, the cut of her dress and the tone of the wedding.  Her primary inspiration, however, always comes back to the bride herself: “Each bride has a style and personality all her own.  As a designer, it is my goal to create pieces that will perfectly reflect who she is.”

Wedding Theme: Winter Wonderland

October 24th, 2009

The snow is falling, the holidays are around the corner, and snuggling with your sweetie with a cup of hot cocoa is a romantic and lovely way to spend an evening.  Well, the cozy feeling that winter brings can easily transpire into your wedding theme.  Have a winter wonderland event with subtle snowflake decor such as monochromatic white table settings with just a sparkle of snowflake confetti or by including a winter motif in your invitations, wedding cake, and other decorations.  Not only will the wintry silver and white wonderfully capture such a romantic season, it will also be unbelievably beautiful and timeless.

We Love Bridal Belts

October 22nd, 2009

We think bridal belts are a great accessory!  If your bridal gown is already highly decorated with numerous bows, intricate beading, or other adornment maybe the bridal belt isn’t the best option. However, if your looking for a little something extra to dress up a simple A-Line or modest gown, this fun accessory is just perfect.  Veer toward the adventurous? Choose a colorful design adorned with rosettes and feathers like the one from Twig and Honey (far left).  If you are looking for something a bit more personalized, New Full Bloom Bridal (middle) will make a customized creation in your wedding colors. Prefer a more traditional or subtle look? Like the dresses she makes, bridal belts and sashes by Monique Lhuillier are absolutely gorgeuos.  Aside from the extra pop belts can add to your wedding day fashion, we love that you can wear them again and glam up a cocktail dress or the standard jeans and tee for an added touch!
